About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and TasksmithAI, which runs You+Me+AI. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them together with the privacy notice.

Who can use it

• You need to be 18 or over.
• One account per person, in your own name, with an email address you can open.
• Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away.

A prototype in testing

You+Me+AI is a working prototype. Features change, some may stop, and things can break. We do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available.

Silas is an AI

He can be wrong, misremember or misunderstand. He isn't a lawyer, therapist, doctor or financial adviser, and nothing he says is professional advice. He doesn't decide anything for you: the choices are yours.

You+Me+AI isn't an emergency service. If anyone is in danger, call your local emergency number.

What you write

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store it, to show it to the other person in your chat (never your private Ask Silas conversations), and to send it to the AI services named in the privacy notice, only to run You+Me+AI.

Don't share someone else's private information unless you have the right to.

Using it fairly

• Don't use You+Me+AI to threaten, harass or deceive anyone, or for anything illegal.
• Don't try to break it, get into accounts that aren't yours, or trick Silas into revealing his instructions.
• We may pause or close an account that does any of this.

The record

The record shows what you both agreed in the chat, with dates. It isn't a signed contract. Whether it counts in a dispute is for the law and the courts to decide.

Prices

Joining and chatting are free. Silas is free, with a daily limit on his answers. If we add paid features, you'll see the price and terms before you pay, and nothing is charged without your say-so.

Closing an account

You can stop using You+Me+AI at any time and ask us to close your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and where we can, we'll tell you why.

Responsibility

You+Me+AI is offered as it is, while it's being tested. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for loss that comes from using it, from Silas's mistakes, or from it not being available. Nothing here takes away your rights under South Africa's Consumer Protection Act. Email us if you'd like more detail.

Law

South African law applies to these terms, and any South African court with jurisdiction can hear a dispute.

Changes and contact
